John Lewis sells the Roomie Glide for PS160. Roanna thought this was a fair price for a cot. She also liked the way it looked in the bedroom and believed that its grey colour is a good fit for modern homes. This is one of the more expensive options, but it is packed with lots of features. It's designed to be used as a side sleeper or standalone crib and is suitable from birth up to six months. It is easy to open and close the side panel with the new mechanism. It's also more flexible than its predecessor, with 11 different height levels and retractable feet for a secure place under any bed.

Our testers appreciated the ease of access provided by the side panel, that can be moved up and down with one click of a button. This was especially helpful in the evening when feeding time was over, since they could reach in and pick their baby up without disturbing them up.

The side panel can be lifted on its own however it isn't recommended as this increases the risk of your baby falling out of the cot. The patented safety locking system makes sure that the side panel will only remain in place if it's connected correctly to the parent's mattress. The Next2Me Magic was easy to use and set up for our test subjects, even with the lengthy instruction manual. It's a bit heavier than other side-sleepers but it's still fairly portable and can be moved from room to room with ease. It's also able to fold up into its travel bag which is a great option for those who want to transport it. The only downside our test subjects found was that the side panel didn't flex as much as some of the other models, which made it a little harder to see your baby from your bed.

A gentle incline option helps to reduce colic and reflux and colic, while the zip-down side makes it easy to feed or comfort your baby during the night.

The cot conversion kit (sold separately) is also well-designed, with clear instructions and everything you need to begin. It took us around an hour to assemble and was reasonably straightforward. The only drawback to the instructions was that certain images did not have captions. This made it difficult to follow. Overall, the process was easy and the materials used were of high quality.

It allows them to reach out and hold their baby to comfort them and feeding without having to leave their bed. It's also great for parents who want to avoid the hassle of getting in and out of a traditional cot, or placing their baby down for a nap.

During our tests we noticed the smooth motion of this next to me crib to be especially useful in getting babies to sleep after feedings at midday and in the evening. The drop-down side is also easily accessed to feed or soothe babies during the middle of the night, which was a real selling point for our exhausted test moms.
